I enjoyed the refreshing take on why Black communities should support black Women, by casting a wide net for happiness. This is why I wrote the article, “ The New Black Woman”. Today’s black women don’t need to explain her choices in men. She does not need to answer to a living soul. She has been judged and deemed undesirable by her own men, watched as he laughed at her demise, and she is killed by her own every five hours.

As you’ve stated, this produced “ heart sickness” and bitterness.

This does not mean that nonblack men should be looked to as saviors either because many of them can be just as bad. The New Black Woman knows this and chooses wisely.
