I enjoyed the article. It will probably take forever for 4C hair to be recognized as good. Not to be negative , but the years long teasing and jabs at beautiful, kinky springy hair will continue. I am grateful for us embracing our natural hair in its totality, but it takes strength of mind and hair revolutions just to accept our hair. I totally get why some black women would glare at Tracy Ellis Ross’s hair in envy.
She has beautiful kept hair, but it’s mixed textures and more celebrated. Right along with stringy hair. Plus, 4C hair women like myself ,may low key hate our texture because it isn’t the easiest to tame.
But then I have to ask: Tame for who?
