I appreciate your response and I actually agree with most of what you have stated here. No denying that this is a socio-political problem.

I am merely commenting on the fact that when she said, "The holocaust was not about race" many people jumped on her. In her eyes there were two white-skinned groups involved. Same as if Black Americans and Jamaicans are fighting(just an example), who could tell anyone's culture or religion while they are fighting? Unless they said so?

American schools have failed to teach children that language/culture/ethnicity/nationality are not interchangeable. This is why we still say someone is "Spanish" when Spanish is actually a language and Spain is a land in Europe.

I am American and speak English but do not look like Queen Elizabeth. It is a language. Period.

The bigger issue, as Whoopi stated, was that it is a crime against humanity at the end of the day. Race is not the biggest issue in the world---it is one of the major ones, not the BIGGEST issue though. Thank you for reading.
