I applaud you for telling your truth as you know it, and confessing that you have said some hurtful things in the past.

Part of getting older is getting wiser and owning up to our own crap, and it takes (for most of us), hard work to tell the truth about ourselves and our own race. Just like whites and non-blacks have work to do to clean up their cognitive dissonance, blacks have our own issues that we definitely should clean up too.
