I am really enjoying this article so far! The good news is that I just ordered The Poppy War , Books 1 and 2 by R F Kuang, about a dark skinned Asian and it is fantasy! I can’t wait to read it. Also an Ember in the Ashes features a dark skinned Indian/Black girl and two white characters who are also the main characters.

I wish there were more Black fantasies. Skin of the Deep by Natasha Bowen is a good one though. I adored it.
