I am loving your article so much! I literally mentioned this exact fact in my podcast last week! Although our passions bring us joy, it’s not always a good idea to turn them into businesses. For one, burnout can occur and that will defeat the purpose of having a hobby.

I love coloring. Adult coloring books fill up my room. But can I profit from coloring? I love loom knitting pencil holders and headbands too, but is it profitable? Truthfully, when I crocheted ear cushions at my last job, I made roughly $175 charging three to five bucks per ear cushion. Not enough to live on, but was a great chunk because there was an immediate need in that location. I don’t make them anymore because I am working from home, but I simply miss coloring and knitting for fun😀
