How Many Light Skinned Women Creates a Colorist?
Someone accuses a comedian of only liking light skinned women — he has a response to that
Recently, a comedian I watch on IG, asked the public what things he should change about himself. A commenter said he should change his preferences because he dates too many light skinned women. He responded that he likes a variety of women, and that her response was wrong.
This comedian is often seen with light-skinned women. In fact, many Black men on social media and in real life prefer, date, marry, and have children with lighter-skinned Black women. My mother is light-skinned, while my father was deep brown. My sister is fair-skinned, and I have a medium brown complexion. We’ve never been divided on our hues, however.
In this post, the comedian seems to appreciate a variety of women. It’s likely that the person who wished he would “change his preference” is someone with a darker complexion. This issue deserves deeper discussion because people in the comments section argue that he dates a variety of women, and that light-skinned women deserve to be desired too.
