I enjoy watching the show Hoarders. Not to laugh at others’ pain, but to learn about the psychology behind accumulation. I always wondered — how does someone accumulate so much junk that they become used to it?

The answer was literally right under my nose.

A few weeks back, my sister asked if she and the kids (including the small family dog), could come over so my niece could attend a friend’s prom here in Va. It was so sudden I almost told her no, because the spare bedroom I have was messy.

Yes, I can freely admit this.

My home is cleaned and well organized, but my spare room with the bunny was something to behold. Books and boxes became towers of gloom, and I cannot figure out how I let it get that way. I work in that room to complete my podcasts and blogs.

How did it get to be a holding cell of junk? I’m not a junky person at all!

Feel free to listen to my five-minute podcast above about this junky…
