How Can You Thrive With Type 2 Diabetes?
Reshape your mentality regarding this condition and it may change your life
There was a cardiologist on Instagram recently. He said if we can see that Type 2 Diabetes is not a disease, but simply a condition of our bodies telling us what we need more or less of, this can be defeated.
I agree.
When a person receives the diagnosis of, “Congrats! You can no longer have carbs or sugar anymore or you will go blind and lose a limb!” It’s not the most welcoming experience.
It is, however — a big dose of reality. A reality that says our bodies can only handle but so many toxins. Not just sugar, but anything else we’ve eaten. Especially those of us who live in America where most foods are processed or sprayed with chemicals.
When I was first diagnosed my immediate thoughts were:
- This is my fault
- I’m going to die.
After much research and paying attention to my own body, I discovered that having diabetes is NOT my fault. Way too many factors contribute to this condition. I just found out even sitting down or being around loud noise, can contribute to Type 2 Diabetes. Genetics plays a huge role in it too, but so does dietary practices.
