Honor Roll Does Not Equal Good Ethics

These are my thoughts on T.I. and His Son King, a.k.a the Waffle House fiasco

Teens will be teens.

We are in a social media world where every moment just has to be posted.

I get it.

T.I’s son King just graduated with honors at the age of 17. Much kudos to him and I hope the very best for him.

But let’s chat a bit about what happened.

Apparently, a few days ago while at a Waffle House, King placed an order and the employee forgot the pickles. King was heated and began to rant and turn on his social media so “we can all see it”. At some point you can hear a woman, the employee say:

“You can talk like that outside.”

King snaps. “I can talk however I want wherever I want!”

He begins yelling and saying he makes more money than she does and when he walks out he talks about “pistol whipping her” before entering the car. In the midst of all this, he does go back inside the Waffle House a couple of times to finish yelling at the woman.

His father’s response?

I’ll paraphrase for you:

Teens will be teens. We all did dumb things, but publicly recording things is…
