If I Ain't Readin'

Hi Pluralus,

Thanks for reading and reflecting! Such a great question. I'll be honest...I have been wrestling with that sort of philosophy for a while and writing tends to help me unravel it. In fact, it has been a while since I've thought about "how I think" on things.

I will say this though. Given the brutality towards Blacks in the past and in re-designed ways today, we do try our best to think positive. Many of us go to church, we meditate, do yoga, trying to eat right, etc. etc.

Strive for the 100% positive is my way of thinking (I think).

It's almost like the saying: "Hope for the best, plan for the worst."

We can have an overall positive experience but that one "eyeroll" from someone can hit hard. It depends on many things: a fragile mindset, who is doing the eyerolling, or a history of the eyerolling (so to speak). But I strive to think positive 100% of the time, my temperament however can be a "glass half empty" because of many factors.
