I love the James 1:26-27 passage because that really sums it all up for me. My husband and I talk about that one often because it is talked about even less in traditional churches.

I salute your soul journey as it is important that we constantly check in and reflect on our relationship with Yah.

Another point: Jesus never said to “ do away with the law “… and yes we are under grace because our own hands could not save us.

Unfortunately, many Christians think “ grace” mean they can do whatever or treat people however. In Matthew 5:17 Jesus expressly tells us he is not demolishing the law but here to fulfill it.

This only means there was something needing to be filled or come to pass as the “ old laws were faulty”(Hebrews 8).

Overall, I hold fast to James 1 because our journey with the Lord is spiritual, personal and in some ways deeply religious. I thank you for sharing.🙏🏽
