Here’s Why I Believe The Ms. Pat Show Is Here To Stay
The Ms. Pat Show has star power already
If you check out Rotten Tomatoes, you’ll see something astonishing. The Ms. Pat Show has a score of 99% and the reviews are overwhelmingly positive(minus the 1% who could care less).
There is a reason for that.
The Ms. Pat Show is real. There are no bleeping out swear words, no shying away from touchy topics- everything is right out there.
The premise of the show is Ms. Pat is a comedienne now living in the suburbs and she and her husband has to raise their children in this new “world”, while also taking in her wild sister; unfortunately old habits die hard and Ms. Pat is about to introduce herself to everyone with no sugar-coating.
I’m not one to choose such a “no holding back” type of comedy these days, but I do remember being able to watch Chris Rock’s stand-up, Paul Mooney, and others once I hit age 17 or 18. But in my mid-30s I became interested in more coming of age shows or more aptly called, “Family sitcoms”
One day my husband was watching the Ms. Pat show and I heard him from the living room say, “Wow! That is different! Ms. Pat is not playing around!”
