Growing In Meditation Day 9- “Guided Meditations and Body Scans”

I make this so difficult for myself.

I Googled “guided meditations” and lo and behold Tara Brach’s name come up with all kinds of meditations.

I was looking specifically for 5-minute meditations because I have pretty busy mornings. I don’t know why I didn’t think to ask Google for specific five-minute guided meditations before.

Better late than never.

I tried one of her meditations under the heading “Basic Meditations” that was for five minutes: Arriving In Mindful Presence. This is so very important because she is guiding your body and mental state where it should be just for those few minutes and then you’re done and can go about your day.

However, if you wish to continue, there is a large variety of guided meditations you can choose from.

Why am I switching from Zazen meditation on my own to guided?

I’m just not disciplined enough to be mindful while meditating. It took me a while to understand this, but I can’t keep placing a square in a circular hole. I have to let it be. Let it flow.
