…ears, I got excellent end-of-year reviews and great feedback from my boss yet I was never promoted. When I tried to change jobs internally, my white boss would always have a chat with either the internal recruiter or my potential new boss, and from one minute to the next, the opportunity was gone. I can’t help but think that she bad-mouthed me.
