Gen Z’ers Are Saying College Isn’t For Them

Here are their solutions to the problem and why some disagree

Gen Z’ers(typically those born between 1997–2010) are opting out of college and instead, are doing some very interesting things to earn an income. I would like to discuss who these Gen Z’ers are in comparison to others, why they are skipping out on college, and how others feel about that choice.

MSN.com has reported that instead of college, Gen Z’ers are realizing that life without it can be just as fulfilling, and much less expensive.

With the explosion of high costs for food, rent, and other necessities, Gen Z’ers are reporting that paying a hefty college debt on top of that, may not be the wisest way to go. In fact, some feel they are just getting a degree to work a job for someone who will get paid much better than they ever will.

Who are these Gen Z’ers?

Genration Z are those born during the introduction and revolution of the cell phone and computers — they tend to be very tech savvy — seemingly from birth. These individuals are constantly “connected”, and so their world is filled with blogs, vlogs, and other forms of social media.
