Marie Kondo of the famous KonMari method of tidying, has a book called, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing. The book itself is amazing and I am using it as a guide to declutter one of my rooms. However, it is what Ms. Kondo says about decluttering BOOKS that has this Bookworm worried.

Decluttering is an art

I am nearly done reading the book, and I must say I truly love how Marie Kondo is refreshingly unflinching in how she uses her words. She reminds us that decluttering is about more than decluttering.

It is an art.

It can be, and pretty much is Zen. Folding clothes becomes the preferred method and you are to infuse your clothes with love so that they can stand — never needing a hanger. Always caressing you gently and not wrinkled and tossed around forgotten.

Her book unabashedly praises her culture(and rightfully so) for perfecting the art of handling clothes; I was super excited to learn that we do not start with cleaning room to room.
