Eating What I Want With Diabetes
It’s a numbers game, it’s a stress game…it’s a game you can win
This Thanksgiving was probably brutal for those with chronic illnesses — specifically those with diabetes.
Diabetes, especially Type 2 Diabetes, affects how your body processes glucose(sugar). Any carb will break down into sugars, unfortunately, so with any type diabetes, watching what we eat is the name of the game. For some of us, it’s a silent killer of the foodie inside. For others it is a wakeup call.
For all of us, it is a wake up call that our bodies are not perfect.

A good start, means a good end
On Thanksgiving Morning, I drank my Metamucil(great for lowering cholesterol and managing glucose), took my necessary meds, and dived right into exercising on my indoor bike for 30 solid minutes.
Getting a good workout while sweating out the toxins is great.
You still need to stay in shape on Turkey Day, and getting toned and allowing your muscles to “eat the leftover sugars” from your bloodstream is a perfect start.
