Do We Even Need College Degrees Anymore?

Companies are now saying college degrees may not be needed for hiring— is this a bad thing?

There are quite a few reports saying that 2023 and beyond will be the year of not needing a degree. Only skills sets will be honored. Gone are the days where your family name, piece of paper, or even who you know will get you in the door. The new era being ushered in are people who can DO the job and get it done. Period.

I remember saying last year that a lot of people I know personally have degrees but are working in jobs that has zilch to do with it. This could be for a number of reasons:

• Job change
• Job availability
• Working odd jobs until they complete their professional degree
• Change of interest
