Black history is everyone’s history and having the physical copies of these books, is a must
Over on Facebook, I am part of the Black Girls Read book club, and we are having a grand ol’ time talking about the fantasy books we love. What I also love, is that there are others posting the “Black AF” kind of books they are reading now, and I am here for it.
Here are books you should own in the physical copy that will help to “learn you better”😉
Black AF History by Michael Harriot
Unfortunately, I do not own the physical copy — yet, but Libby does have it on loan and let me tell you, already I am 50 pages in, and I love the blackity, black way Michael explains the history of the settlers in Virginia. It has me laughing out loud, because it is so accurate! Word on the street is that this book also has quizzes at the end of each chapter to check for understanding. How cool is that?
