Finding jobs has gotten so much worse.

Hackers on job boards.

Jobs are still asking about your race on applications.

On top of that, the job search just keeps getting weirder and weirder, and if you aren’t careful — You may find yourself trapped.

Here are some tricky phrases you may see on a job board or hear from the hiring manager.

“Are you available to work between the window of 5am- and 11pm?

What this phrase is essentially asking, is if you can work long hours. Sure, this is the window of working hours, but you never know what those hours could be.

Job hunter pro tip: Search for reviews about the job. If necessary, use Ctrl+F to find mentions of “hours” to see what people are saying about the work hours. If you urgently need employment, consider taking the position but continue to look for other opportunities.

“Are you a team player?”

In other words, will you brown nose, back stab, and bend over backwards to keep this job?
