Tik Tok can be a cesspool of hate and clownish mess, but one day a man decided to uplift Black women by answering one question:

“Which group is the most oppressed and disrespected?”

He calmly looks into the camera and says, “Black women.”

He goes on to calling us Goddesses and even says,

“One day lips will touch the feet of the Black woman, and the world will see she is more valuable than a car.”

I listened to him carefully, taking note of his appearance, his gestures and eye contact. For me, it was his words that were moving.

However, several Black people “stitched” his video with their own responses.

One Black guy went so far as to say,

“Maybe he never grew up around Black women. If he did, he would not be saying what he is saying.”

However, it was the Black women’s responses that were puzzling.

One Black woman said with a straight face,

“Why is it so hard to see us as just human?! We are not magical queens or God or anything [I’m paraphrasing].
