Do you know how to recognize a cult?

If you say yes, then congratulations, you do not need to read further. But let’s be honest. Cult’s are designed to tap into a special part of our brain. The part that will not warn us of falsehoods because we desire something the leader has a “cure” for.

Let me put it this way.

On November 18, 1978 “Jim Jones and his inner circle” was able to “orchestrate a mass murder-suicide” involving his church the People’s Temple.

When you hear people joke and say, “Don’t drink the Kool-Aid!” this is sadly in reference to those church members who were offered grape juice. Downed it. Then died.

Today, many cult leaders do not have to make a person drink nor do many of them have criminal backgrounds.

The most dangerous weapon a cult leader has is an understanding of human psychology.

1. They know you want someone to lead you
