I’ve heard of Crazy Rich Asians, the movie, and actually was interested in seeing it the year it was released. Somehow, I must have got caught up in watching more sci-fi stuff or perhaps my interest wasn’t 100%. Either way, me and my family watched it on Thanksgiving and here is my takeaway.

I’ve always known Christianity goes hand in hand with money

Michelle Yeoh(playing as Eleanor Sung-Young) role as Nick’s domineering and overly rich mother is the pillar in the film. The movie starts out with her dealing with racist white men at a hotel who gives her trouble about her booking a room with them. It’s clear they are prejudice and racist. Fast forward years later, she has come into a crazy amount of money, and is a steadfast “Christian” holding bible study with the elite while still behaving like a narcissist.
