Goal: 75 Books, Read 29- It’s manga time!
It has been nearly 6 months now and my reading journey has taken me from wild planets where chubby women are revered, to Black Witches and gods, and now I am back to something a bit fluffier and sweeter —
Shojo manga.
I first read a manga in 2008/2009. Darn, I forgot what it was called, but it was a romance manga about a girl who pretends to be a boy on a sports team in order to get close to her crush(if you know what that is, please tell me!).

That same year, I worked in Books-a-Million and couldn’t help but stare at the manga rack as buyers would purchase Fruits Basket and I’d think, “What an odd title!” After watching the anime, I’m not sure I get what the fruits basket was or I missed the point totally, yet it’s my favorite anime now.
Right now I am in between mangas and all of them are easy to get into: Sankarea, Cheeky Brat, and Waiting for Spring.
I already discussed Sankarea, you can find the story below. It is an odd anime/manga about a boy who desires a zombie girl, not a real girl.
